Betty White reveals how she will spend her 99th birthday in quarantine

Betty White gets ready to celebrate.

The legendary comedy actress turns 17 on January 17 and, like many over the past few months, will be spending her time indoors and with limited people due to the ongoing spread of coronavirus.

The “Golden Girls” star recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight and told exactly how she would celebrate her big day.

“You probably did not ask, but I will tell you anyway,” White joked. “What do I do for my birthday? Running a mile every morning is restricted by COVID, so I’m working on releasing ‘The Pet Set’ again and feeding the two ducks that come to visit me every day.”

The two activities go hand in hand, as “The Pet Set” was White’s animal-positive series about pet care, wildlife conservation, and celebrity visits, and an abundance of animals that are both moderate, such as dogs and cats. , and wildlife, such as elephants, bears, gorillas and kangaroos, reports the exhaust valve.

On February 23, the series will be available on DVD and streaming platforms, which will celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary.

Among the producers of the show was Allen Ludden, White’s deceased husband.

“‘The Pet Set’ is one of my favorite shows,” the legendary star said in a press release obtained by the store. “I am delighted that it will be seen again after all these years.”

While the pandemic keeps White indoors and her age puts her at greater risk of contracting the new virus, White said last March that she was looking on the bright side.

“I am blessed with incredible good health,” the American darling told Closer Weekly. “It’s something you really appreciate.”

Singer and friend Tom Sullivan also said the former “Golden Girls” and “Mary Tyler Moore Show” star was staying safe.

“She reads the front page of the LA Times to cover,” he shared. “She literally owns thousands of crossword puzzle books and does it all the time to make her mind jump. It’s really serious with her.”

“She tried to zoom in on her Scrabble game with her friends, but it’s not quite the same,” a good friend added.

The friend also revealed that the COVID-19 crisis led the star to view life in a completely different way.

“Betty’s message to the world is to slow down and enjoy what you have: family, friends, your pets,” the source said. “She said the pandemic was serious, but we went through worse. It’s Mother Nature’s way of slowing us all down.”
