Better late than never.
Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy, more than eight years after they initially stopped it, have finally finalized their divorce – news that comes as rumors swirl that she is engaged to her current beauty, Paul Bernon.
Page Six confirmed that a judge signed the divorce on January 20.
Frankel and Hoppy – who are parents of ten-year-old daughter Bryn – were married in 2010 and entered into it in December 2012. The founder of Skinnygirl filed for divorce one month later.
But their divorce and custody battle – which includes nasty accusations broadcast in court – has been raging for years.
In August 2019, Page Six exclusively revealed that Hoppy and Frankel were still legally married. A divorce ruling could not yet be issued at that time due to a protection order against Hoppy, who was charged with harassing and stalking Frankel in 2017.
Hoppy agreed to a plea agreement that required him to stay away from Frankel for six months to dismiss the charges.
In September 2020, Frankel appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ and said she could not think of marrying the new boyfriend, Paul Bernon, because she was still connected to Hoppy.
“I’m still married,” Frankel, 50, admitted in a shocked Cohen. ‘Crickets again. And scene! And we’re back! ”
Now that Frankel’s divorce from Hoppy (50) has been finalized, she can marry Bernon, with whom she was reunited earlier this year.
Maybe wedding bells are already on hand. The founder of BStrong created an enchanting excitement after she just wore a massive diamond ring on her left hand last week.
Bernon and Frankel started dating in 2018 after the death of her back-and-forth boyfriend Dennis Shields. They split in the fall of 2020, and insiders told us at the time ‘it’s because of distance, but you know Bethenny’, but have now reunited.
