Best Buy currently has stock available for the Xbox Series X and S

Update 26 February 2021 12:05: Best Buy still has both consoles in stock, but the retailer releases small stock waves every few minutes, so if you can not buy one right away, it’s worth trying again in a few minutes.

Best Buy has re-introduced both of Microsoft’s next-generation consoles, the Xbox Series X and Series S. Like some other game articles released late last year, these consoles are very difficult to buy, but if you move fast, you have another chance to buy one right now.

Xbox Series X / S

The Xbox Series X is Microsoft’s flagship console, serving as the most powerful (and largest) option at $ 499.99. While the $ 299.99 Series S is aimed at smooth 1440p performance, the Series X is focused on fast 4K gaming.

Whether you’re buying the only digital S series or the more powerful Xbox series X that includes a disk drive, you may want to consider picking up a few accessories that will help you get the most out of your new device, such as an extra controller if you are playing a game with a local cooperative with a friend or family member.

Microsoft’s new Xbox controller has a share button and a USB-C charging port if you use the optional rechargeable battery.

In terms of storage space, both consoles have quite limited storage – 512 GB on the Series S, 1 TB on the X. If you plan to download older games that do not utilize the next generation of hardware and do not want your limited SSD storage used up, you can use an external hard drive. You can buy an SSD expansion card that is only available in 1 TB, and it is very expensive and costs $ 220.

Seagate 1TB NVMe SSD Extension for Xbox Series X / S

Seagate’s expansion NVMe SSD is the device you’ll need as your Xbox Series X / S game collection grows. Unlike standard USB drives, it’s fast enough to run all the latest games.
