The Bengals would unveil their new uniforms at 9am on Monday morning. But they apparently moved up the timeline and unveiled their new jerseys and pants with a Twitter video featuring former wide receiver Chad Johnson early in the season. 8 o’clock.

Cincinnati’s new uniforms have the same helmet that the franchise has used for decades. But the sweaters have been reused to give a simpler, cleaner look.

The Bengals’ primary jersey will be black with three orange stripes over each shoulder. The primary white sweater is similar to his former white uniform with black stripes over each shoulder. But the sleeve of the sweater is now white. And the team’s orange alternative jersey wears black stripes over each shoulder.

Each of the three jerseys has ‘Bengals’ across the chest above the numbers.

The team also has three pants that match each jersey: white with black stripes, white with orange stripes and black with orange stripes.

“We wanted the new uniforms to have a clean, sleek design,” said Elizabeth Blackburn, director of strategy and fans of Bengals, on Bengals’ page “New Stripes”. “We used our popular color sweater sweater, helmet and the beautiful Bengal tiger as inspiration to achieve an iconic bold look.”

Time will tell if the jerseys will become an iconic look, but it does offer the opportunity to acquire something new as the team moves on to its second year with Joe Burrow on quarterback.
