Benches open for Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox while Adam Eaton, Andrés Giménez stand square

CHICAGO – Bankies and bullpens ran empty on the field in the first innings of Thursday’s game between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox.

Chicago frontman Adam Eaton was called out to try and get through to second base after passing the bag and being marked out by Cleveland’s shortstop Andrés Giménez.

Eaton singled out the way Gimenez singled him out and immediately jumped into the 22-year-old attacker, pushing him into the chest with both hands. Second baseman César Hernández steps in between the two while both benches on the field empty and are with members of both bullpens.

Cooler heads prevailed and no blows were thrown. Eaton Giménez and Hernández seem to be approaching in a conciliatory way before returning to the dugout.

The fracas did not have such a big shock, as the two competing teams were completing a series of four matches that had already seen interesting plays on the field.

On Monday, the White Sox won in a descending manner when the foul of striker Yu Chang Yasmani hit Grandal in the helmet, which enabled Nick Madrigal to score the win. Tuesday’s game went into extra innings, with Cleveland’s starter Shane Bieber hitting nine points without a point and still winning in 10. On Wednesday, Carlos Rodón threw the 20th victim in White Sox history.
