Bella Thorne defends Armie Hammer over ‘false’ allegations: ‘Leave him and his family alone’

Hammer was embroiled in a social media scandal last week after alleged direct messages surfaced alleging misconduct by the actor. Some of the actor’s messages, which appeared flirtatious, imply that he likes BDSM practices and has a cannibal fetish.

Although few celebrities have spoken out about the rumors, actor Thorne defended Hammer on Instagram on Thursday (January 14).

‘I honestly can not believe it … people love to make this kind of fake, this poor guy and his kids leave him and his family alone [sic], ”Wrote the 23-year-old.

“He’s by no means a freaking CANNIBAL …”

Thorne also implied that the messages were ‘fake’, adding: ‘There are also a million fake screenshots.’

On Wednesday (January 13), Hammer shared a statement when it came to light that his role opposite Jennifer Lopez in Shotgun Wedding will be reconstituted.

“I do not respond to these bullshit allegations, but in light of the malicious and false attacks on me, I can now not leave my children for four months to take a film in the Dominican Republic,” Hammer said in ‘ a statement said.

“Lionsgate supports me in this and I am grateful to them for that.”

Hammer’s other upcoming film projects include The billion dollar spy, as well as a planned follow-up on Call me by your name.
