Belkin’s second MagSafe dock drops Apple Watch charger and price drops

Since Apple announced its new MagSafe charging standard, there have been few officially approved wireless chargers using the standard. But Belkin is boosting the numbers with its new BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2-in-1 wireless charger, which also offers a more attractive price of $ 99.95.

Similar to the BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 3-in-1 wireless charger, the BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2-in-1 wireless charger can – as you might guess – charge two products instead of three. The futuristic charging boom now only provides a MagSafe pad and a standard Qi charger for your AirPods (or any other device that fits), dropping the Apple Watch charger onto the 3-in-1.

And just like the 3-in-1, the new BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2-in-1 is an official, MFi-approved MagSafe device, meaning it’s one of the few options to take advantage of MagSafe’s faster 15W wireless charger. And the reduction of one-third in functionality has a similar price reduction: the BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2-in-1 costs $ 99.95, compared to the $ 149.95 that Belkin charges for its larger counterpart.

The BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2-in-1 wireless charger will be released later this year in March or April, when it will be available on both Apple and Belkin’s websites.

Along with the new wireless charger, Belkin also announced its second set of wireless earbuds, the Soundform Freedom True Wireless Earphones. Where the original Soundform True Wireless Earplugs were a budget option of $ 59.99 (with matching features), Belkin aims higher with the Soundform Freedom buttons. The new buttons have better battery life (up to eight hours, with another 20 hours in the case), USB-C charging and improved background noise isolation (although there is no active noise cancellation).

The Soundform Freedom earbuds will also be one of the first third-party products to work with Apple’s Find My network (something Apple announced last year as an option). This means that, similar to Apple’s own AirPods, you can use the Find My app on iPhone and Mac devices to detect your missing headphones, using the same network of Apple products that the company’s first-party devices can use. .

The Soundform Freedom earbuds also offer Qi and USB-C charging, switchable earbuds, and are IPX5 rated for sweat and splash resistance. Belkin has not announced prices yet, but it will be on sale sometime in March or April.
