‘Behind the Music’, ‘Yo! MTV Raps, ” Unplugged ‘to Return

ViacomCBS announced on Wednesday that several classic MTV and VH1 programs will be re-launched for the Paramount + digital streaming service.

On the music front are VH1 and MTV franchises Behind the music, Yo! MTV Raps and Disconnect will get an update on the platform. A new unwritten series, From cradle to stage, is also suitable for the digital service. Based on the book written by Virginia Hanlon Grohl, mother of Dave Grohl, Van Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars, the series of six episodes is presented by the mother-and-son team, with the Foo Fighters lead singer also serving as director.

The refurbishment of music documentary series Behind the music, originally aired on VH1 from 1997 to 2014, will have a new visual appearance. Disconnect MTV, which hit the network for the first time in 1989, has been sporadically broadcast over the past few years with offers and online offerings. The new Disconnect will also feature performances that will become presentations several times a year.

In the reality TV realm, Paramount + will stream recurring franchises as well as new series. RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and Road rules is back for service, and a reunion of the cast from the first season of The real world return for The Real World Homecoming: New York. New unwritten reality shows include Queen of the Universe, a singing competition show where drag queens compete for the title and $ 100,000, and The challenge: all stars, where 22 stars were selected from Real world and Road rules returns to compete for $ 500,000.
