Bears WR Allen Robinson takes note of recipients who did not earn money

The future of Chicago Bears star receiver Allen Robinson is on the air from September last year, which was also the last time there were contract talks between both sides.

When the Bears put the franchise label on Robinson again on March 9, it came as no surprise after listening to GM Ryan Pace about Robinson’s importance to the team without actually advancing him to a long-term to sign an extension.

Robinson was hesitant about signing his franchise label, which made sense given the lack of progress with a new contract. But after an initial hesitation, Robinson, according to Ian Rapoport, signed his franchise label.

So why the sudden change?

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Robinson noted that wide recipients did not exactly catch up with the cash in free agencies. Then take the $ 18 million payday and wait another year to reach the open market.

Biggs also noted that Robinson “does not believe he is influencing leverage for a multi-year deal.”

Biggs does not expect this to be a “tag and trade” scenario, which is interesting as head coach Pace and Matt Nagy met with free agent Kenny Golladay on Wednesday night to explore their options at the receiving end.
