The Bears will make no changes to the top.

Bears CEO Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy will both be back for the 2021 season, Bears chairman George McCaskey confirmed today. McCaskey said he was impressed with Pace and Nagy’s work during the 2020 season.

McCaskey also expressed confidence in Bears president Ted Phillips. In turn, Phillips acknowledged that many Bears fans want to see big changes within the franchise, but everyone in the front office of the organization is committed to making it work with the current power structure.

The Bears did reveal that Nagy of Pace has received a contract extension. So there is no doubt that both of them are doing their job this year.

The Bears stand by Pace and Nagy because they have won the playoffs for the last three years, but the Bears have not won a playoff game since the 2010 season, and they are entering this season with several important questions, the largest of which is who their starting quarters will be in 2021.

These questions need to be answered, but today Bears fans just realized that the team remains the course.
