The Better Business Bureau warns people not to share their COVID-19 vaccine tickets online.
“Unfortunately, you have your full name and birthday on your card, as well as information on where you got your vaccine,” the BBB said in a news release. “If your privacy settings on social media are not high, you may be giving away valuable information for anyone to use.”
The BBB said scammers can use real cards to make a rogue card.
Scammers have been caught selling fake vaccination cards online in the UK.
The agency warns that it’s only a matter of time before it starts in the US
The BBB said a safer option is to share a photo of the vaccine sticker or rather use a profile frame.
