As reported by THR, this decisive news was announced during the latest episode of Batwoman as Kate Kane of Day was linked up and held hostage. She was shown alive, but still unrecognizable, due to the injuries from the plane crash that occurred at the start of season two.

It’s important to note that Kane is no longer a Batwoman, and that Javicia Leslie – the first black actress to play the character in a live-action role – will continue to star as Ryan Wilder.

Rose left Batwoman in 2020, and according to reports, her decision may have been due to her aversion to the long working hours required by starring in a 20-episode season.
The decision was initially made not to recreate the character again, but performer Caroline Dries telegraphed her return and many did not intend to just make her story disappear. Furthermore, she wanted her to return to avoid the “bury the gays” TV troupe showing how murder of gay and lesbian characters takes place.

“As a lesbian who has worked as a writer for the past 15 years, I am well aware of the ‘Bury Your Gays’ trope and have no interest in participating in it,” Dries said in June 2020. “That’s why it’s important to me as the forerunner to clear up all the wrong information about Kate Kane and the reorganization of Batwoman. Like you, I love Kate Kane – that’s why I wanted to do the program. We will never erase her.In fact her disappearance will be one of the mysteries of season 2. I do not want to give away any of our surprises, but to all our dedicated fans, please know that LGBTQ + justice is at the heart of what Bat is and we do not intend to abandon it. ‘

The rest of the season wants to investigate where Kane was and how this experience changed her.
