According to Batt Hendrick 6, Battlefield 6 can be ‘strongly influenced’, according to Tom Henderson.
In a recent YouTube video (via altchar), Henderson summarizes all the details they know so far about the next Battlefield game. Speculating that it will be called Battlefield 6 or simply Battlefield, Henderson says the next title will be ‘strongly influenced by Battlefield 3’ and ‘somewhat of a soft recharge’.
As noted in the video, Henderson has made the same claim on Twitter in the past, claiming that Battlefield 6 will return to its modern environment on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, as well as PS4 and Xbox One. While making the suggestion that it will be a gentle recharge, Henderson addresses rumors circulating about a full Battlefield 3 remaster, saying there is no ‘concrete evidence’ to suggest it is true.
Previously, the industry insider also said this Battlefield 6 contains 128 player cards. In more detail on this side of the game, Henderson says the cards are ‘designed with about 128 players in mind’, but adds that this does not necessarily mean that 128 players will play in every game mode. “Instead, I was told there would be standard 32 v 32 modes,” Henderson says. “But for players who want a lot more players to fight with, they should expect higher player modes to come into play.”
So far, EA has been relatively quiet on the battlefield front. The only confirmed information we have about the next entry in the shooter franchise is that it will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X with a 2021 launch window. Henderson believes it’s still 9-10 months away from release and claims he said it will also come to PS4 and Xbox One. The latest generation version will apparently only contain 32 v 32 modes, along with some graphical downgrades and limited destruction ‘.
Of course, it’s always best to take information from inner circles with a pinch of salt, and Henderson even says that everything mentioned in the video is subject to change, but it certainly offers some interesting ideas about the possible direction of the next Battlefield title.
