Baltimore Ravens, QB, Lamar Jackson, ruled out Buffalo Bills with concussion

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been ruled out for the fourth quarter after suffering a concussion in Saturday’s AFC Divisional game in Buffalo.

On the final game of the third quarter, Jackson’s head slumped back and hit the grass in the end zone of Bills Stadium after he threw the ball away and hit a hit from Trents Murphy, the Bills defense. Jackson immediately grabbed his helmet with both hands after hitting the ground. Then he threw up his hands in frustration as he went to the locker room with a coach.

Jackson was flagged for intentional grounding on the play.

Undefeated rookie Tyler Huntley replaced him with the Ravens 17-3. The Ravens’ other fullbacks – Robert Griffin III and Trace McSorley – are currently in an injured reserve.

His injury occurred twice after Jackson won just the second pick of his career. After driving to the Buffalo 9-yard line, Jackson stares down at tighthead Mark Andrews and is selected in the red zone for the first time.

Taron Johnson outscored Jackson and returned the intercepted 101 yards for the attack. Instead of leveling the game potentially, the Ravens fell behind with two touchdowns.

Jackson finished 14-out-24 for 162 yards over and passed just 34 yards rushing on nine yards. This is his third least rushing years since taking over as a starter from Baltimore in the middle of the 2018 season.
