Balan Wonderworld gets a day-one patch to address demo feedback

Balan Wonderworld

Back in January, Switch owners were able to download a demo for Balan Wonderworld, Square Enix’s upcoming 3D platform, led by Sonic chief Yuji Naka. Unfortunately, despite the hype surrounding the game up to that point, the demo did not exactly impress.

However, all is not lost as the producer of the game, Noriyoshi Fujimoto, has unveiled a day-one patch aimed at tackling some of the feedback received from players who experienced the demo. Here’s what Fujimoto has to say:

“To stay true to the nature of Balan Wonderworld, I want us to follow in the footsteps of the enigmatic maestro, Balan, and find balance in our own hearts. Especially when it comes to the feedback we get from our demo. received.

There was a wide range of opinions and reactions to the demo, and unfortunately, in the current development phase, it is simply not feasible to reproduce every bit of feedback in the game. However, to give you a more balanced gaming experience, we will one day implement a full game patch.

This patch will specifically adjust motion control, camera movement and rebalancing of the problems. There’s just over a week left until the launch, so I hope you all enjoy the world of Wonderworld to your heart’s content! “

His words come from a new blog post shared on Square Enix’s website, which also summarizes the game’s main themes if you need a refresher.

“At first glance, Balan Wonderworld is a magical platform born across 12 colorful worlds, born from different people’s hearts. In these worlds, players must use more than 80 different costumes and their diverse abilities to overcome obstacles, puzzles and enemies. and finally restore happiness back to Wonder World. ‘
