Before Lindsay’s return to Instagram, producers of ‘The Bachelor’ took to Twitter to condemn the hatred she received from fans of the series.
“As executive producers of The Bachelor Franchise, we want to make it clear that any harassment of Rachel Lindsay in the aftermath of her interview with Chris Harrison is completely inexcusable,” reads the statement from the Bachelor Nation, signed by executive producers.
“Rachel has received an unimaginable amount of hatred and is being subjected to serious online bullying, which is often rooted in racism,” the tweet continued. “This is completely unacceptable.”

Kirkconnell, 24, who is also at the center of the controversy, issued a statement of her own last Saturday urging fans not to harass Lindsay.
“Rachel Lindsay and other BIPOC have called for me and others to be held accountable. This is necessary, and she does not deserve the hatred she receives,” Kirkconnell wrote. “Know that she and every person you send hate messages to are people. We are real people, and she does not have to turn off her account to escape this toxicity.”
