“Bachelor” star Rachael Kirkconnell defends Matt James from racist insults after revealing that they are apart after the show.

Finally, James Kirkconnell chooses above all the other women in this season of ‘The Bachelor’. However, during the “After the Final Rose” special, he revealed that he had broken up with her after a racism scandal that unfolded outside the screen, which eventually led to Chris Harrison, the longtime host, from his role in the program retired.

Some viewers do not take James’ decision well and attack the first Black Bachelor with racial barriers on social media. Kirkconnell saw clearly how the online vitriol is aimed at the person, which she still calls the love of her life, and decided to make it clear that she did not want that kind of support.

“I’m amazed at what I saw tonight. If you think the attack on a person I care about with racist insults I would ever want, you have not listened yet,” she said in her Instagram Story Written Thursday. “Some of the things I’ve seen and said about Matt are repulsive.”

“I respect the decisions Matt had to make during this experience,” the reality star continued. “If you hate him, please stop. Acknowledge someone’s humanity and think about the impact your words have.”

During the “After the Final Rose” special, James admitted that the controversy surrounding photos of Kirkconnell resurfacing after an “Old South” party, a TikTok user who accused her of bullying her in the past because she went out with a Black man and allegedly kept racist photos – – everyone played a role in his decision to end things. The scandal also indirectly led to longtime host Chris Harrison stepping down as host.

“If you do not understand that something like this is problematic in 2018, there are many of me who you will not understand. It is as simple as that,” he said at the time.
