Matt James speaks out about the controversy surrounding Bachelor participant Rachael Kirkconnell.
Since the premiere of the ABC series of season 25, Fans of the Bachelor Nation criticized the alleged social media behavior of the graphic designer. In addition, A TikTok user, who claimed she went to Rachael High School, said she had been bullied.
At the moment, the 24-year-old star has not yet made the accusations against her in public. However, it is important to note that most Bachelor participants are usually unable to address fans’ comments while the program is still being broadcast.
Following the Monday night episode, Matt opened up about the online setback the Georgian received in an interview with him Entertainment tonight.
“I have never spoken to anyone since the end of the program, but I would say that you have to be really careful about what you do on social media,” he explained on February 2 about the allegations. “Rumors are dark and vicious and can ruin people’s lives. So I would give people the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully she will have time to talk about it.”

“There are a lot of things going on with the women who were involved in the show,” the 29-year-old athlete pointed out. “I would just give them a chance to get their piece, whether it’s someone who went away one night or someone who went home last night.”
He added: “Everyone has a story, and I would just be receptive to it.”
The old guy star also does not just talk the talk. In yesterday’s episode on February 1, Matt sent several women home, including some described by competitors as bullies.
But if Monday night’s episode was an indication, two things were made very clear: Matt tolerates no drama and Rachael appears to be a forerunner.
In fact, the duo had their first one-on-one date, in which the graphic designer enjoyed a shopping trip. When she tore over her new Christian Louboutin heels, Matt was knocked out of the field and he looks even more defeated over her.
After dinner, Matt admitted that he could see how he fell in love with Rachael and introduced her.
“I think the first group date was when she really caught my attention …”, Matt said ET of his immediate attraction to Rachel. “It’s been a steady progress … since the first week. It was a feeling I did not feel, and … it’s nothing that [producers are] to tell me or do, it’s just, I felt it at the moment and I’ve never felt it before. ‘
