Axios drew criticism on Monday after a tweet of fact-checking Kamala Harris, who reiterated the debunk allegation, reiterated that Biden’s government ‘starts from scratch’ with the introduction of the coronavirus vaccine.
During an interview with Mike Allen, co-founder Mike Allen, which aired on HBO on Sunday, Harris was asked about the struggle of the government’s response to the pandemic after nearly one month in office.
“There was no supply … of vaccines,” Harris replied. “There was no national strategy or plan for vaccinations. We left it to the states and local leaders to try to figure it out. And in many ways we are starting from scratch to something that has been raging for almost a whole year.”

Axios shared the exchange on Sunday night, but included a comment by dr. Anthony Fauci, White House chief medical adviser, refuted CNN’s report last month quoting anonymous Biden officials making the same allegation.
“We are certainly not starting from scratch because there are activities going on in the distribution,” Fauci said during a White House press release.
However, that fact-checking tweet was later deleted, leading to questions among angry-eyed Twitter users.
“Why did Axios remove this tweet?” The “ruthless” podcast co-host and conservative Twitter personality, casually, asked Smug.

As Jerry Dunleavy of the Washington Examiner pointed out, Axios did share the clip of Harris’ exchange with Allen, though the tweet scrubbed Fauci’s comments contradicting the vice president’s demand.
Axios did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
This snafu comes on the heels of another controversy regarding Axios, in which reporter Alexi McCammond and her recent relationship with former White House deputy press secretary TJ Ducklo were published. her to pursue a story about their relationship.

According to Axios, McCammond, who was previously covered as President Biden during the presidential election and transition in 2020, has been reappointed to cover ‘progressive politics’ and Vice President Harris.
