Axiom Verge 2 also starts on a computer. The sequel to 2015’s side-scroll-throwback adventure will be an exclusive Epic Games Store when it launches this year. Epic Games announced Axiom edge 2‘s computer launch during Thursday’s Epic Spring Games Showcase livestream.
Axiom edge 2 was originally announced that it will be released on Nintendo Switch in late 2019. Creator Tom Happ promised that players “the origin of the Axiom Verge universe ”in the sequel.
In the first Axiom Verge, the player character is a researcher named Trace, who awakens from a laboratory accident in a strange world. As Trace, the player explores a glitch-out landscape, and retrieves code to continue their progress on each level.
Happ has the original building Axiom Verge more than five years before its launch in 2015, and he has been working on the sequel ever since.
