It’s January, and you know what that means, it’s time again for some of the smartest players in the business to come together for an uninterrupted marathon of fantastic game action.
Awesome Games Done Quick is back on the doorstep and will see players from all over the world come together to showcase their skills in a huge (and not so great) abundance of titles. While the world remains trapped in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, AGDQ 2021 has switched to an online capability – much like SGDQ 2020 – but that does not mean you can not act and watch all the actions from the comfort and safety not. of your own home.
This year’s schedule includes recent entries such as Hades, Carrion, en Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice show shoulders with a myriad AGDQ regular of the Metroid, Castlevania, The Legend of Zelda and Sonic the Hedgehog franchises. Entries from the Final fantasy and Quiet hill series are attended, as well as AGDQ pillars such as Mirror’s Edge, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the dragon.
As the week progresses, viewers can donate to the event, with all proceeds going back to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, which continues to explore and develop groundbreaking advances in cancer cure. Last year’s marathon yielded a record $ 3.1 million, with the AGDQ event raising more than $ 15 million since its inception in 2010.
As always, viewers can expect competitions, gifts, interviews and daily finishing touches. Although the event may have changed online, the GDQ team is working tirelessly to deliver an exciting and engaging week of festivities with all the expected finishes, despite the constraints posed by the current health crisis.
