Auburn star Tank Bigsby does not play in Citrus Bowl

Auburn’s attack will miss one of its leading players when the Tigers face Northwestern in the Citrus Bowl on Friday.

Star Bigman, a fullback, will not be available in the game, sources told AL.com.

Bigsby ran 834 yards and five touchdowns this season.

With Bigsby out, Shaun Shivers and DJ Williams are expected to take the lead for the Tigers’ running game.

In addition to Bigsby, Auburn will also be without other key players such as wide receiver Anthony Schwartz, cornerback Roger McCreary and nickel rugby Christian Tutt.

On a positive note for the Tigers, safety Jamien Sherwood – who was originally set to leave the game – is now expected to play according to sources.
