At least 100 shells of shells found outside Virginia Waffle House

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. Witnesses and police call it a miracle that no one was killed after officers believed several gunmen fired numerous shots outside Waffle House in Colonial Heights early Saturday morning.

Police found at least 100 shell casings in the Waffle House parking lot on Boulevard 2002. This is where police were called at 2:30 a.m. for reports of shootings.

The barrage of gunshots that followed was followed by what police said was a late-night argument between two groups.

“They started shooting at the Waffle House and eventually shot a hole in my tailgate at my house,” said Mike Johnston, who lives near the restaurant.

Johnston woke up from bullet holes and casings on his property.

“It sounded like an AK-47 was in the parking lot of the Waffle House and a gun was fired here,” Johnston said. “They tore off the bullets. I am surprised that no more damage has been done here. ”

While investigators search for several shooters in the crowd that dispersed, they are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest, a man wearing a Chicago Bulls jersey who was in the Waffle House before the chaos.

“Some people have an argument, and instead of agreeing to disagree and walk away, they decide to go outside and make it into a gunfire that someone could kill, “Anspach said.
