I loved Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. So much so that, if I had given it more time during the calendar year, it would have made it a serious run for my Game Of 2020. But my son, at the same time I was still not happy with the support the game got after the launch.

The game was released, and it continues months later, a number of quests breaking, and sometimes completely game breaker goggas. One of them stuck me for more than a week when a character who was essential to a main storyline did not want to appear at her designated point in Ravensthorpe, another for a few days when a quest for new dialogue caused after I dropped a guy off my horse just never got around to it.

These are two that have plagued me; The Washington Post last week again highlighted it caused many other serious headaches.

To be clear, the problem here is not that the game was launched with bugs. Like some other bad parts of Valhalla—Sound quality sound effects in some areas, and plays where the character’s lips do not move – there are concessions to give a great AAA game has been released amid global pandemic.

But also, there is a point where we have to admit that this game was released in November, and that it is now almost April, and that many of these big mistakes are still there, and players get stuck later. What sucks!

And while the November issues are still there, new news is stopping. The game’s latest round of free seasonal content, based around the Ostara festivals, a number of aspects were removed after it caused crashes.

The solution involves the removal of Ravensthorpe’s Ostara decorations, and the new tasks cannot be completed while Ubisoft is working on a solution.

I am try to get excited for the first proper update of the game, which will move the adventures of Eivor to Ireland, but if the game still has so many problems, what do you mean an expansion will not just add to the stack anymore?
