Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’s new transmog system has problems

Ubisoft finally gave players the ability to submit their armor Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla‘s latest patch. Unfortunately, the ability has a price tag in the game that many players find a bit too steep. Worse, this is not the only problem players have encountered with the system or the new patch of the game.

ValhallaWith the transmog feature, players can change the look of an armor without changing its stats, but this can only be done at Gunnar’s blacksmith and costs 50 silver. Although the price is not terribly steep in the big scheme, it can pick up quickly if you change the look of your equipment regularly. And as many players on Reddit have pointed out, it’s a frustrating cost to pay for a purely cosmetic feature.

At least one player mentioned that using the transmog system could have possibly removed the rune from their weapons, although they could not yet confirm if the transmog was the cause of the problem.

On Tuesday, Ubisoft also announced that it was giving away the Divine Reward Package as a gift for community appreciation. The package includes Altaïr’s outfit from the first Assassin’s Creed game, the Yule festival rewards and 300 opals – one of Valhallacurrencies in the game.

Except that the Godly Reward package apparently experienced issues as well. Players received an error message when downloading the package, which Ubisoft said it is aware of and trying to resolve. At least one of the problems prevented players from unlocking the package if they did not have any Helix credits Ubisoft has fixed this specific issue.

After the package was finally unlocked, players discovered that the new transmog system also did not work with Altaïr’s Outfit. Players can only wear the armor as a regular set, but cannot use it to change the look of their other armor. Without the same upgrade options as the game’s standard outfit, the outfit is less useful to wear regularly.

Fortunately, the game’s community manager said he would pass this feedback on to the development team.
