Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Expansion in Ireland Comes In April • Eurogamer.net

Easter event fully explained.

Wrath of the Druids, the first major expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, launches on April 29.

Wrath of the Druids, which is in Ireland, a new land for the game, will see Valhalla heroine Eivor track down members of a druid cult called the Children of Danu. You also dive into Gaelic myths and folklore and meet even more local kings.

The extension is for sale separately, or part of the season pass for the game. Here’s a brief look:

Above all, the previously announced Ostara Festival will arrive in your city of Ravensthorpe today as part of Valhalla’s seasonal free content. It runs until April 8 and includes the return of drinking, archery and fighting mini-games (we’ve seen this before at Yuletide).

Three new quests could make Eivor egg-hunt, fight nightmares and become a May queen. There are also new settlement decorations and customization items to unlock.

Later this season, Ubisoft will add another new game mode: Mastery Challenge. It sounds like a battle-oriented version of the repeatable River Raid Challenge mode and is presented by a ‘Master’ arriving at the settlement. Can we get some new Assassin information at the same time?

This week, Valhalla finally added gear transmog and a handful of new capabilities, and also offered fans a familiar kickback costume as a freebie.
