This week, Assassin’s Creed fans bowed their way to a mythical arch that has been hiding since the game’s release in Valhalla.
Ubisoft congratulated players for finally exposing the powerful Isu weapon, but also teased that there was a proper, non-flawed method of getting the article as well.
It all fits in brilliantly with the truly amazing work that members of the Get access to the Animus fan community, who have carefully translated Valhalla’s secret Isu runes over the past few months.
The group’s efforts resulted in an attempt to crack the Isu language that appears on Valhalla’s collection – but with only partial success. The discovery of the bow this week and a little more encouragement from Ubisoft developers behind the secret has prompted Access to nuance across the finish line.
The video below goes through the thoroughly entertaining process of figuring out where, when, how and why to unlock the arc the right way – and it’s fascinating to see how much time and ingenuity is put into the clues on behalf of Ubisoft word.
Not only did the developer create an entire language for this puzzle, it also covered the collector’s spending box with tips that players have only just begun to understand.
Isu-rune on the collector’s collection block reads that ‘the sword is the key’, while an image of the specific (and spoiled) sword is hidden in the eye. A set of numeric coordinates is also included, while art lithographs with runes that now stand when combined in a certain way also show the icon of a sun that you then hide.
The numeric coordinates are the only part of the puzzle that has yet to be fully decoded, although the discovery of the bug this week meant that this part could be skipped – everyone knows where the Isu arc is. Fans have nevertheless realized that the island in the lake where the arch is hidden is seen on the map of the game, a reference to the location of Ubisoft Singapore’s headquarters in Singapore itself – where the lake takes shape. (Ubisoft Singapore created the area of the game where the bow is hidden and invented the Isu language.)
From all of this, Access the Animus devised the weapon needed to break open the rocks that hold the bow at the specific place and at a specific time of day. We allow the video itself to provide the pampering solution.
In other Assassin’s Creed Valhalla news this afternoon, players deliberately die to help fellow fans achieve a faulty performance.
