Atlus’ leading staff members further wrote their quest for 2021 Famitsu. Since last year’s endeavor, Shin Megami Tensei V was more visible after a new trailer and launch window were launched in July 2020 Project Re Fantasie should not add yet either. Kazuhisa Wada also stepped in to remind everyone that the Person series reaches its 25th year of existence in 2021.
We have translated the ambitions of Atlus of 2021 as follows.
Kazuhisa Wada – Person
‘Amid an era of reform in 2020, a greater impact took place as I approached the unpredictable present time. It is universally important to stay afloat in the midst of a drastic change where we do not know what is going to happen. I still want to determine what needs to be done and move forward in 2021 without any distraction.
‘The project continues solemnly. Thank you all, this is the 25th anniversary of the year Person series! I’m thinking of measures to celebrate it with everyone, so please look forward to it! ”
The very first title in the Person series, Revelations: Persona, was released on September 20, 1996 on the first PlayStation in Japan. The original Person 5 was released on September 15, 2016 in Japan, right around the 20th anniversary.
Shinjiro Takada – Shin Megami Tensei V
‘Many problems occurred during development, but we handled our creative originality flexibly, as we still pursue high qualities. And I want even more customers to enjoy it.
‘Regarding Shin Megami Tensei V, we are eager to develop it to make the title even better. You’ll have to wait a little longer, but look forward to it. ”
Shin Megami Tensei V is currently being developed for Nintendo Switch. It will be released worldwide in 2021.
Katsura Hashino – Project Re Fantasie
‘Amid a rapid change in the world as a result of last year’s new coronavirus, the only thing I can do now is to continue my work solemnly. The title I am currently developing is also reaching its peak. When I face it straight, I want to do my best so that I can deliver interesting games to the world.
‘I want to announce soon the title I developed. Please check out the Fantasy RPG we, who made contemporary drama, are trying out. ”
As a reference to the “contemporary drama” section, Katsura produced Hashino Person 3 by 5—as well as Catherine-in recent years. He is currently working on it Project Re Fantasie, a new RPG with a fantasy environment.
