Ashley Judd shares photos of ‘exhausting 55 hours’ emergency rescue: ‘I wake up and cry with gratitude’

Ashley Judd opens up about her recent accident.

Last week, the 52-year-old actress revealed during an Instagram Live session that she was admitted to hospital after suffering ‘massive catastrophic injuries’ after tripping over a tree in the Congo region of Africa.

Now she has shared photos of her rescue on Instagram taken after she seriously injured her leg. In her message, Judd carried photos of her carried in a hammock through the woods before she jumped on the back of a bicycle to be treated.

A photo of the actress lying on the floor with a prop on her injured leg, as well as some screenshots of her Congolese friends, was also included in the report.

“Friends. Without my Congolese brothers and sisters, my internal bleeding would probably have killed me, and I would have lost my leg,” she begins in the long caption. “I wake up crying with gratitude, deeply touched by every person who has contributed something to life-giving and spiritual salvation during my grueling 55-hour odyssey.”

The star explained that she broke her leg in four places and suffered nerve damage. She also told that her friend Dieumerci sat with her on the forest floor for five hours, and that she did not move her ‘grossly deformed left leg’ by supporting it with his own leg.

Judd referred to Dieumerci as her ‘witness’ who was with her during her ‘primordial pain’.

She then remembers another man, Papa Jean, restoring her leg after searching for her for another five hours.

“He told me what to do. I bit a stick. I held Maud. And Papa Jean began to manipulate my broken legs with certainty and back into a position where I could be transported while screaming and writhing. , “remembers the” De-Lovely “actress. “How he did it so methodically while I was like an animal does not go beyond me. He saved me. & He had to do it twice!”

Six men situated the injured star in a hammock and ‘walked across rough terrain for three hours’ to carry her out of the area.

Judd then gave a shout out to Didier, who was riding the motorcycle she was riding to safety, leaning her against his back and refraining from falling and falling off. She also had another friend, Maradona, who detained her during the ride.

“He was holding my broken leg under the heel and I was holding the broken upper part with my two hands,” she shared. “Together we did this for 6 hours on an irregular, rounded and paved dirt road with ditches for rain during the rainy season.”

The star said she developed a ‘friendly friendship’ with Maradona and discussed many things, the pros and cons of monogamy and polygamy among them.

Judd then gave one last cry: “The women! My sisters who held me. They blessed me.”

Yahoo! Entertainment reports that the “Double Jeopardy” actress travels to the Congo about twice a year because her “partner” runs a research camp there. In the US, she is known for outdoor camps.

According to the exhaust valve, she is bedridden for at least the rest of the week while she repairs the sticks to her leg.

Judd said she would ‘walk again’ but did not have a ‘time frame’ to recover.
