Army of the Dead: Watch Zack Snyder’s Zombie Movie First

Netflix has unveiled the first behind-the-scenes look at Zack Snyder’s upcoming zombie movie Army of the Dead. The four screenshots compiled in the gallery below mostly show Snyder directing his cast of the zombie fighters. These include stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, and more.

Army of the Dead is a zombie movie set in post-apocalyptic Las Vegas. A group of mercenaries must venture into the quarantine zone to try to make ‘the biggest robbery ever’. Based on the synopsis, one would think it would be like Ocean’s 11, but with zombies and guns.

Army of the Dead is Snyder’s first film as a director since working on the Justice League in 2017, although he did not complete the film and handed over the directing duties to Joss Whedon.

Snyder is also working on the Snyder Cut of Justice League, now officially titled Zack Snyder’s Justice League, for HBO Max. Apart from producing credits on the recent series of DC movies, however, Snyder has ‘no plan’ to make any more DC movies after completing his Justice League cut.

This is not Snyder’s first zombie movie, as he gained notoriety with his 2004 Dawn of the Dead reboot.

Army of the Dead will premiere on Netflix sometime in 2021. A prequel movie titled Army of the Dead: The Prequel is currently in post-production, as well as an anime spin-off title Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.
