Armie Hammer will ‘pull away’ from Jennifer Lopez film amid DM scandal

Page Six confirms Armie Hammer of his upcoming film, “Shotgun Wedding,” amid a scandal with alleged leaked messages from the star about his sex life.

A source familiar with the project told us that Hammer is ‘pulling away’ from the action comedy film that will be in production this year.

A spokesman for the production confirmed to Page Six: “Given the impending start date of ‘Shotgun Wedding’, Armie has asked to resign from the film and we support him in his decision.”

Reps for Hammer did not comment.

Jennifer Lopez is the director of the film directed by Jason Moore, the director of “Pitch Perfect”.

Ryan Reynolds was previously intended to play the Hammer role, and is an executive producer of the film, which follows a couple with cold feet whose wedding is taken hostage. The film is distributed in the US by Lionsgate, and sold internationally to Amazon Prime last month.

According to Hammer’s leaked messages, fantasies of rape and cannibalism are described. The report claims that a message from Hammer to a woman said he was ‘100 percent a cannibal’, while another gruesome message allegedly talked about ‘cutting toes’.

Sources said some in Hammer’s camp were trying to provide support for the star in the city. But even hardened Hollywood insiders seem to be through with the alleged messages. Either way, the situation certainly seems excessive for Lopez, who is still driving high after her Hollywood hit, “Hustlers,” and Super Bowl’s halftime show last year.

Hammer’s upcoming projects also include the thriller “The Billion Dollar Spy”, as well as a planned sequel to his 2017 hit “Call Me By Your Name”.

‘The Social Network’ actor said earlier in interviews that he is a ‘dominant lover’ who likes to ‘grab women by the neck and hair.’ But he said his sexual appetite had changed to marry his now estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers. “It comes down to a point where you say, ‘I respect you too much for doing these things I want to do,'” he said.

He later told E! News about the candid Playboy interview: “Do not drink during an interview.”
