Armie Hammer Exits Making ‘The Godfather’ TV Series

Armie Hammer will not star in the lead role The offer, the upcoming Paramount Plus series that will be the curtain after making The godfather, Variety reports.

Hammer was tapped for the role of Godfather producer Al Ruddy. The series tells the behind-the-scenes story of the making of the 1972 film, which describes Ruddy’s experiences with the popular film. The actual Ruddy serves as executive producer in the limited series of ten deliveries. It is unclear who will replace Hammer in the lead role.

Earlier this month, the actor also dropped out of the romcom film Shotgun Wedding, starring Jennifer Lopez. Hammer’s departure from these two upcoming projects follows the news of several leaked messages allegedly sent by the actor between 2016 and 2020. The sextant messages were presented as slits and shared via Instagram.

The unverified text messages contain extremely unprotected sexual fantasies, including acts of cannibalism. After his retirement Shotgun Wedding, Hammer issued a statement saying: ‘I am not responding to these stupid claims, but in view of the malicious and sinister attacks on me, I can not leave my children for 4 months now to make a film in the Dominican film to take Republic. ”
