Armie Hammer is now accused of rape … by a woman who says she reported the alleged crime to the police, and law enforcement sources tell him he is being investigated for an alleged sexual assault.
The accused of the actor, Effie, claims Armie raped her for more than 4 hours, during which he hit her head against a wall and physically abused her with other acts of violence. She says the incident took place on April 24, 2017 in Los Angeles.
Effie made her allegations during a news conference with her lawyer on Thursday, Gloria Allred. Effie claims that she met Armie on Facebook in 2016, when she was 20, and they started a relationship that became violent and abusive.
Allred says Effie has provided law enforcement with evidence of the alleged rape, and prosecutors will have to decide if there is enough evidence to file charges against Hammer. Allred says she has no plans to file a lawsuit against Hammer.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … someone spoke to police about the alleged incident on February 3 and police have launched an investigation into sexual assault.
Andrew Brettler, Hammer’s lawyer, tells TMZ that they believe that Effie undermines and refutes her shameful allegations because she sent Armie extremely sexual texts on July 18, 2020. In the alleged text, Effie said: ‘Helplessly horny and I just need you tell because it was last sooo long ago. ‘There’s a lot more that, frankly, is too graphic to describe here … but the point is that she told Armie, in stark detail, what she wanted him to do to her.
He replied, “I will not be able to get involved with you in that particular way right now. It never ends well. We can talk and be friends, but I can not do that.”
Brettler claims Effie sent hundreds of texts to Armie, adding … ‘It was never Mr. Hammer’s intention to make or expose an embarrassment. [Effie]’s fetishes or kinky sexual desires, but she has now taken this matter to another level by hiring a civil lawyer to host a public press conference. With the truth on his side, Mr. Hammer the opportunity to set the record. ‘
As you know … Hammer has been embroiled in controversy since January after some shocking but unverified DMs he allegedly sent to women started appearing on the internet.
TMZ broke the story … Hammer leaves a J Lo filming as a result of the scandal, but he told us, “I do not respond to these b ******* claims.”

Brettler says Armie maintains his interaction with Effie, and all other sex partners, was “completely unanimous, pre-discussed and agreed and mutually engaged.” His team claims that her news conference will only make it harder for real victims of sexual violence to get the right they deserve. “
