An Arizona mayor told Tomi Lahren, Fox Nation, that he was ‘left to deal with the consequences’ of the Biden administration’s border policy, calling the situation a ‘crisis’.
“I do not want to play politics, but it’s a crisis – pure and simple,” Gila Bend Mayor Chris Riggs told Lahren, who recently paid a visit to the southern border. He added that he was trying his best to deal with the situation, noting that migrants he spoke to told him “they feel they have been invited” into the United States.
President Biden has scrapped a number of immigration policies from former President Trump, which include wall construction and that asylum seekers should stay in Mexico instead of staying in the US while they wait until their cases are heard.

The moves have led to a record increase in migrants, including underage minors, which has hampered capacity at immigration facilities in recent weeks.
Riggs, who is the mayor of a city about 120 miles (120 km) north of the U.S.-Mexico border, told Lahren that cartels were taking full advantage of Biden’s border policy and “now intruding many drugs.”
“I’ve never had drops here,” he said. “Never during the Trump administration, not even during the Obama-Biden administration. I never had drops here.”
“Now I see Border Patrol bringing people here and dropping them off,” Riggs continued. “It’s 30 miles to the next town over an open dessert … You’re going to walk people in 120 degrees over that dessert, you’ll find a lot of corpses.”

Lahren appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ on Wednesday to share her experiences at the border – a journey she filmed for Fox Land’s ‘No Interruption’ series – and what Riggs and others who live there face amid the migrating boom.
She stresses that between migrants who feel they have been ‘invited’, the halt in the construction of border walls – which they say has left five-kilometer gaps – and the Biden government removing the migration protection protocols (MPPs), ‘the perfect storm for’ a whole lot of problems at the border “have been created.
In February, the U.S. allowed migrants waiting in Mexico for the immigration of their businesses when the Biden government ended the MMP of the Trump era.
Lahren told host Ainsley Earhardt that farms she spoke to in Arizona set their property on fire and cut down a fence on a daily basis.
She then noted that the border patrol agents were ‘overworked’ because they were producing the migrants, and that they were not so available to help farmers deal with their problems.

“They [Border Patrol agents’] resources are limited, and now farmers like these are very concerned because they have a halt in the boundary wall – which used to do a lot of the work and that they felt might solve some of these problems – but now they are completely exposed, ‘Lahren said.
“They don’t have to deal with this. The Biden administration has to answer for this. It’s people’s livelihood.”
A Biden spokesman did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
