Japanese video game developer and publisher Arika has announced that it will be released Fight EX Layer: Another Dash on the Nintendo Switch in 2021.
The original version of this title was first released on the PlayStation 4 in 2018 and has since been transferred to several other devices. It is considered a spiritual sequel to Road layer (1998) as well as the Street Fighter EX series (1996).
Arika says Another Dash will be “different” from the existing version Fighting EX Layer. Characters have been adapted, moves reviewed and new combat systems introduced. It also contains different network codes.

“Fight EX Layer: Another Dash use backstep interrupt netcode based on delay netcode. Since the input delay for different frames is disguised as variable frames, the position of the character in the case of extreme delays can be corrected. Sometimes after release, Arika hopes to replace the netcode with ‘The Best of Both Games’ netcode, which is currently being tested and based on a retrospective netcode. ‘
