Are the Detroit Lions ready to embrace Jared Goff as their franchise QB?

The Detroit Lions are going to have a new man under the center and act as the face of the franchise in Jared Goff. Although it was initially speculated that the Lions were trading, despite Jared Goff, and they might consider moving him, the evidence showed that the Lions were embracing him with open arms. Dan Campbell and Co hope Goff can be their rock on quarterback for at least the next few years.

Question of the Day: Are you ready to accept Jared Goff as your franchise QB?

My answer: I do not think we have a choice. Regardless, it’s a yes.

I think the bright spot of Jared Goff is that he brings hope. There’s not much to hope for in the near future: the defense is just a little better than your local junior university, and the Lions have a wide receiver of their 53 under contract.

Jared Goff was once an emerging player who led his team to the Super Bowl. Yes, he had a good cast. Yes, he has since relapsed. Nevertheless, he did. Seeing the level at which he can play raises hopes that the Lions may at least be competitive in games this season, even if their record indicates otherwise.

Your turn.
