Appointments for the first coronavirus vaccination clinic in Montgomery County filled

CONROE, Texas The appointments for the first mass vaccination clinic for the coronavirus in Montgomery County were full on Tuesday after the clinic was announced.

The appointment-only clinic is held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds at 9333 Airport Road in Conroe. It will be open from Wednesday 09:00 until Friday when all doses have been administered.

Those who qualify for the current phase of vaccine administration can register online. Officials said those who have a registered appointment must bring their QR code and a valid form of identification to receive their shot. People without appointments were not allowed to use the vaccine.

“This vaccination site is possible because the Department of State Health Services awarded 2,000 doses to the Lone Star Family Health Center this week,” reads a news release. ‘As the state continues to increase the amount of vaccines allocated to our community providers in the coming weeks, Montgomery County is proud to partner with Lone Star Family Health to open our first mass vaccination site for communities. Eligible residents can start making appointments to receive their first dose on the spot, and as additional supplies become available from the state, we look forward to opening more sites across the country to those who want to receive in the community , easier to access. ”
