Apple’s iMac Pro discontinued

It looks like Apple’s iMac Pro is going to air in that big computer showroom. The standard $ 4,999 model is still available on Apple’s website, but only until the current stock lasts – once it’s gone, the iMac Pro will no longer be available, Apple told us on Saturday.

Released in 2017, the iMac Pro was named by Apple at the time ‘by far the most powerful iMac we’ve ever made’ and was aimed at professionals who need a lot of fast processing and a lot of computing. But the machine has not received any notable hardware upgrades since.

The 27-inch iMac that launched in August last year can be set up to meet the needs of professionals, and is now becoming the iMac for professionals, Apple told us on Saturday, adding that buyers who want the extensibility and more power, the Mac Pro.
