Apple has closed many retail stores while the COVID-19 pandemic continues to peak – on December 20, it temporarily closed every location in California, Mexico, Brazil and more than a dozen in London. While England and Scotland are closing some new national closures, Apple is closing all of its remaining stores in the UK.
As 9to5MacAccording to Michael Steeber, this means that 18 additional stores have now closed in the UK, including several in Scotland and one in Belfast, Ireland – although it looks like the Belfast store may have already closed. (Northern Ireland closed earlier, on 26 December, closing all non-essential shops.)
All 18 UK Apple Stores open today will close on 5 January. Includes all locations in Scotland. Most of the other 20 stores closed just before the holidays. pic.twitter.com/RYfhWgNkrb

While it’s worth noting the closure, it may not make much difference to more buyers who have not been able to physically enter many of these stores since November. It was then that Apple only started offering fast service at many of these stores. You could upload orders online, but you could not browse.
