Apple Store lists iMac Pro base model as available while stocks last, indicating discontinued

In the sign that the iMac Pro is on the way, the only model currently on sale on the Apple Store website is the base configuration of $ 4,999, “while stocks last.” As first reported by 9to5Mac, all set-up-to-order configurations for the iMac Pro have been removed from Apple’s website (but are still available at third-party retailers like Amazon). It’s not a big surprise that Apple can phase out the iMac Pro; there are reports that have been well received that the company will be introducing a redesigned iMac and refurbishing the Mac Pro sometime this year. Bloomberg reported in January that the refurbishment of the ‘chin’ under the screen would get rid of and have a flat design.

Apple has not officially considered the iMac Pro more discontinued, but it is unusual for the company to use “as long as the stock lasts” in its product lists. Meanwhile, the 27-inch iMac launched in August is a great option that Apple says is popular with professional iMac users.

Apple launched the iMac Pro in 2017 with a view to gaming, VR and high-end editing and graphics work. It was first unveiled at the World Developer Conference in that year, with Apple considering it ‘the most powerful Mac ever’, replacing the outdated Mac Pro line.
