Apple releases MacOS Big Sur 11.2 with Bluetooth solutions, external display issues, more

After releasing 3 RC buildings during the previous weeks, Apple today officially released macOS Big Sur 11.2 for all users. The version includes some key solutions for Bluetooth, external screen, iCloud issues and more.

macOS Big Sur 11.2 is starting now and should appear in System Preferences> Software Update. Keep looking back if you do not see the update immediately.

Users were eager to see this update land, as notable issues with Bluetooth, external screens, iCloud, and the new ProRAW photos affected many users.

The public version of the Big Sur 11.2 is built 20D64, the same as RC3 we saw for beta testers last week. It weighs up to 3.66 GB.

macOS Big Sur 11.2 improves Bluetooth reliability and solves the following issues:

  • External monitors can display a black screen when connected to a Mac mini (M1, 2020) using an HDMI-to-DVI converter
  • Changes to Apple ProRAW Photos in the Photos app may not be saved
  • can turn off iCloud Drive after disabling the iCloud Drive Desktop & Documents Folders option
  • System Preferences may not be unlocked when you enter your administrator password
  • Globe key cannot display Emoji & Symbols window when pressed
