One of the key features Apple is offering with its new Fitness + workout service is deep integration with Apple Music. One of the ways it now manifests is with a dedicated category in the Music app, which allows users to quickly see playlists of Fitness + exercises.
Apple has a new Fitness category in the Apple Music service, including a variety of playlists dedicated to Apple Fitness +. Apple refers to it as ‘Studio Series Playlists’ and says that the playlists were produced by Apple Music editors and Apple Fitness + coaches.
The Apple Fitness + team brings together some of the best trainers in the world to coach you through rewarding workouts for all levels of fitness or experience. So they know a thing or two about motivation – and how music can play a role. To accompany your next workout, the coaching staff, together with the editors of Apple Music, compiled the Studio series of playlists, calibrated with each set of tracks and designed to hold your energy and help you complete the last set, the last miles to run, or hold that last posture. Choose your workout, play and prepare to crush it.
There are study series playlists dedicated to specific types of workouts, such as cycling, treadmill, rowing, HIIT, and more. Apple also has playlists for specific genres, such as ‘Country Run’ and ‘Pure Dance Row’.
You can find these playlists by going to the ‘Search’ tab in the Apple Music app and searching for the ‘Fitness’ category.
And of course, you can also find songs and playlists for specific workouts in the Fitness app itself, under the Fitness + tab. For each workout, you’ll find the ‘Listen to Music’ button that takes you directly to the workout playlist in the Music app.
