Apple TV Plus fans Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet can now watch the first trailer for its second season, which premieres in May, Apple announced Friday. Created by the It’s always sunny in Philadelphia group (Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz), the sitcom in the workplace follows a game development studio that plays an online role-playing game.
Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), the studio’s newly promoted co-director, and her co-director Ian (Rob McElhenney), are sitting in the ideas for the new expansion of the game. The interaction is … awkward because they stumble across what new content for the game might look like.
Here’s the full review for Apple’s season 2:
With the quarantine finally over, season two of “Mythic Quest” finds everyone back in office (well, almost everyone), trying to build on the success of Raven’s banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian (Rob McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), struggle with the direction of the game. Meanwhile, CW (F. Murray Abraham) reconciles some unresolved issues from his past, the testers (Ashly Burch and Imani Hakim) test the limits of an office romance, and David (David Hornsby) loses another woman in his life as Jo ( Jessie Ennis) leaves him to assist Brad (Danny Pudi).
The last we saw Mythic Quest was a special pandemic-inspired episode in May 2020, “Mythic Quest: Quarantine,” which shot the cast completely separate from their homes. The second season takes place after the pandemic, with everyone back in the office.
Last year, Polygon sat down with Nicdao to talk about her role in the program. In the interview, she said that she feels like the cast in season 1 has found their progress, but that ‘it’s really exciting to feel like we’re coming in season 2, and everyone has this confidence and really knows what we’re doing. ”
Season 2 of Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet debuted May 7 on Apple TV Plus.
