According to rumors from the past, Apple wants to change the design of its AirPods Pro successor. It is understood that the new versions will have a more compact round design without the signature stems. A new leak around the next iteration of AirPods Pro is going around and it’s about their upgraded system in a package (SiP) housings.
Alleged AirPods Pro 2 SiP Cases
We can see two sizes for the housing that suggest Apple may release smaller and larger versions of its next AirPods Pro. The new leaks suggest that the AirPods Pro 2 will still rely on Apple’s H1 chip that boasts Bluetooth 5.0, hands-free “Hey Siri” and a lower delay compared to the W1 chip in the first generation AirPods.
We also expect a new pair of its standard AirPods with an in-ear design similar to the more premium AirPods Pro, but without their signature active noise cancellation. Apple’s new AirPods are expected to be released in the first half of 2021.
