Apex Legends Switch Controller jumps on Amazon amid confusion over game release

In October, we announced that Apex Legends, the hugely popular battle-royal game, has delayed its Switch release. A few weeks ago there was a random “unveiling” of the release date – and the date is today, February 2nd.

There are other tips that the game is almost ready too: An Apex poster for Switch appears in Japan, the director of Apex Legends, Chad Grenier, said that there game news today, and, recently, a new PowerA controller appeared on Amazon with Apex Legends trademarks.

Apex’s season 8 was released today, so it would make sense for the game to appear on Switch at the same time, but there is no news yet. Not even a tease! Of course, the day is not over yet (and we’ll probably be forced to eat our hats if we have to write an ‘Apex is out now!’ Post within ten minutes), but we can not be the only ones wondering what happens at Respawn.

Are you going to grab Apex when it’s finally announced? Were you waiting for the Switch release, or did you play on other platforms as well? Let us know in the comments.
