Apex Legends Season 9 will feature tons of Titanfall content

Respawn developers have revealed in a new stream that Apex Legends Season 9 will include a ton of content from its spiritual predecessor, Titanfall.

The wild sci-fi shooter series Titanfall is lovingly remembered by FPS fans, and if you’ve played it, the similarities are easy to see as it jumps into a round of Apex Legends.

Both the Battle Royale and the FPS are made by Respawn and in the same universe. According to developers, Apex is about to get far more content than ever before by Titanfall appearing in season 9.

During a panel with a number of Respawn developers presented by BrownGirlGamerCode, Apex’s senior author Ashley Reed talked more about the relationship between the two games and how they will incorporate Titanfall forward at Apex.

“What’s going on in Titanfall is a war. Apex is what happens after the war, like what life is like in this place? ‘ Reed explained. “So we’re trying to integrate Titanfall into that, because Titanfall is a big part of the universe.”

We have already seen some parallels between the two matches, for example there are several weapons from Titanfall in Apex, and who can forget the hull Leviathans (AKA Moyais) that tower royally over the battle?

What Titanfall content already has, however, seems to be just the tip of the iceberg, as Chad Grenier, the director of Apex Legends, promises a ton ‘to come in season 9.

“Next season, season 9, you’re actually going to see a ton of Titanfall come back somehow,” Grenier hinted.

“I’ve told some people before, if you’re a Titanfall fan, keep going for season 9, because there will be really cool stuff.”

It is clear that Grenier does not understand the details that will come to us next season. If in the meantime we do not prevent any leaks or new information, we will have to wait and see what Titanfall fans should be so excited about when Respawn officially announces it.

Based on the reported Blisk leaks, it could be bigger than anyone expected.
