Respawn Entertainment has released a new trailer for the 80s action movie debut for Apex Legends season 8 and Fuse is his biggest star. Along with a preview of the game’s latest Legend, the trailer also gives us a brief look at the recently destroyed version of the Kings Canyon map.
Since this trailer puts Fuse in the middle, it’s also our best look so far at what he can do. It looks like Fuse has a grenade launcher on his wrist that he can use to throw explosives at enemies. It looks like he could also drop a group of napalm on the map, which would ignite the ground for quite some time after it was used. While these two are likely to be his tactical ability and his ultimate, Fuse’s Passive still remains a mystery.
The trailer also shows the newly updated version of Kings Canyon. The map appears to be collapsing after a ship in an earlier season 8 trailer crashed into it. Although we do not get much detail about the kind of damage that caused the accident, we do see some places that apparently got new entrances thanks to the massive holes in their walls.
Season 8’s other new additions appear on the weapon front and we also get a preview of it in the trailer. The new weapon of this season is the 30 -30 repeater rifle. It looks like the semi-automatic rifle has quite a pack of punches, but it certainly has a slower firing range than most other weapons in the game.
Respawn Entertainment is also adding Golden Magazines with season 8, which apparently feeds ammunition directly from your suitcase to your weapon, without reloading it.
All these new additions to Apex Legends should start live as soon as the season starts on February 2nd.
