Apex Legends Season 8 Adds Solo Rope Option

Apex Legendsa new rope is made for the most hearty players – or just those who want to get in and out of a match with a minimum of fuss. Season 8 of Apex Legends is chock full of new additions, from balance changes to a death full of toxic bite mines. Perhaps the most interesting feature is just the new rope system, No-Fill Matchmaking, with which players can abandon their teammates and enter completely solo.

When players are in the lobby, they see a box called ‘Fill Matchmaking’. This is the standard way of playing; if you stand alone in the queue, you will be linked to a group for Duos or Trios. However, gamblers can eliminate the check mark, which means they will be a team of one.

This is not the main way to play the game – there will only be six solo players in each game, and you can not do it alone in the ranking of the game. Developer Respawn Entertainment suggests that the following scenarios are ideal for rows without fill:

Focus on completing certain daily and weekly challenges

Warm up, get hot and get into a lot of fighting

Challenge yourself – can you win a round of Duos alone? How about Trios?

Experience the latest story on your own

Explore the map and experiment with characters you have not tried before; Seize the opportunity to learn a little more about the game at your own pace.

The season 8 update for Apex Legends also contains a playlist called Ring Fury, where the walls of death flare up all over the map. Players can avoid these fire rings, or drop a heat shield to cover the damage and survive the torches. As the event continues, the Ring Fury spots will become even more dangerous and more common, so keep an eye out.

Water treatment has also been replaced with caustic treatment. It’s a high risk high reward part of the map full of traps and mines that can easily kill a legend. The Mirage Voyage cruise has moved on, and Respawn hints that it “will be back when you least expect it.”
