Apex Legends Reveals Framework Rate and Resolution Revealed

Apex Legends on Switch© EA

Apex Legends is officially on the Switch today and as you may have heard, it will offer cross-play so you can take on players on other systems.

So, what will it be like for Nintendo players in battle? Panic Button technical director Andy Boggs told Famitsu during a conversation that the game would work 720p moored, 576p in manual mode and has a frame rate of 30FPS across both modes.

Although much effort has been put into the Switch version of the game, competitors on other platforms may have the double frame rate, if not more. While there may be performance limitations, Andy told Nintendo Life there are no sacrifices or compromises regarding features or content:

“Not really in terms of features or content, everything that is in other versions of the game should be there on Switch. I think the big challenge for us is to always come in and understand what parts of the game we can adapt and change.to optimize and what parts are so essential that we have to stay alone.I think the changes we had to make would ultimately not affect the experience of players with it.It’s still a wonderful experience and it feels like playing Apex! “
