Apex Legends provides update on long-awaited features

‘A Apex Legends developer provided an update on a long-awaited feature with both good and bad news. There are many features Apex Legends players on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S want to see it added to the game, including rankings. In the past, developers of the game have hinted that the feature could be added in the future, but so far these tips have not been realized.

That said, Chin Xiang Chong, the game’s chief designer, provided an update on the feature this week. The good news is that the team has not forgotten the rankings, which remain on the list of things they would like to do. The bad news, it does not sound like it’s at the top of this list.

“Yep, that’s on a list of things we’d like to do,” Chong said. “Unfortunately, the list is very long and time and resources are limited, so it’s ultimately a matter of priorities, and it was unfortunately a lower priority compared to, say, cross play.”

Unfortunately, that’s all Chong has to say about the feature. In other words, although it sounds like it’s coming, there’s no word on when it’s coming. At this point, however, it is safe to assume that it will not fall during season 8.

Apex Legends is available for free via the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5 and all three current and latest generations of Xbox consoles. Click here or check out the relevant links below for more coverage on the free and popular Battle Royale game and all that’s playing.
